Northern Kentucky Dining
Sure, there is a lot of variety of restaurants and other Northern Kentucky dining – but if you want to eat like a local, you have to try some Cincinnati style chili. Yea, I know – you are thinking “but how can it be local, if its got Cincinnati in the name?”. Trust me on this. There is great pride (and competition) between the various chili houses. Some of the more popular and likely to be known by outsiders are going to be Skyline Chili and Goldstar Chili. For me, I like Dixie Chili. It has the old school feel and charm of yesteryear.
And if you’ve never had this type of cuisine – its not like any other chili you’ve had previously. Think of it more as a “sauce” than a traditional stand alone chili. And most of the time, this chili is paired with spaghetti noodles – or even a small frank with some mustard, onions, and cheddar cheese (this is what is known as a “cheese coney”). And it is Yummmmmmmy!
Feel like giving it a go? There are 3 Dixie Chili locations in Northern Kentucky which are as follows:
